SISA Announces Foray into Canada at PCI SSC North America Community Meeting

The company’s foray into the Canadian market is to serve the region’s public and private sector enterprises with its suite of forensics-driven preventive and detective security solutions.

Toronto, Canada – September 14, 2022: SISA, a forensics-driven global cybersecurity company, makes its way into Canada. The company’s suite of preventive and detective security solutions will serve the region’s private sector enterprises, government agencies, and startups.

In its expansion plans, SISA has been working closely with Toronto Global, a team of experienced advisors assisting international businesses in expanding into the Toronto Region. Canada’s stable economy, the conducive trade agreements, and the availability of skilled workers were just a few of the elements that attracted SISA to set up operations in this country.

Canada’s vast economic potential has constantly drawn the attention of threat actors who continue to devise newer and more sophisticated ways to launch cyberattacks in the region. It is not just large businesses but mid-sized enterprises that experienced at least one cyber breach incident between 2018 and 2020. Research suggests the region will continue to witness a surge in high section security breaches. However, this will propel the demand for cloud-based security solutions in Canada and the U.S. The increasing adoption of enterprise security solutions will be across industries, with the Payments industry expected to be a key driver of growth.

Noting the imminent challenges and the accompanying opportunities in the region, Dharshan Shanthamurthy, Founder and CEO of SISA, stated, “We are delighted about our foray into Canada. As a leading global PCI Forensic Investigator (PFI), we are best positioned to share our forensic knowledge with Canada’s thriving and enterprising community. Further, as a CREST (Council of Registered Security Testers) accredited company, SISA is committed to serve clients through its connected security fabric encompassing compliance, testing services, incident response and certification programs. We look forward to contributing toward the creation of a cyber-secure business ecosystem.”

SISA has been working closely with the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at the Consulate General of Canada in Bengaluru, on various cyber security initiatives. The TCS network continues to actively support SISA in its Canada growth plans.

“Building Ontario means continuing to ensure that our province is an attractive place for businesses like SISA to invest, expand operations and create jobs,” said Vic Fedeli, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “SISA is making important strides in cybersecurity that will help companies of all sizes, and we know that work will only grow with Ontario as the base of their North America expansion. Our government is pleased to support their plans for growth through Ontario’s Trade and Investment Office in India.”

“We are thrilled to welcome SISA to the Toronto Region,” said Stephen Lund, CEO of Toronto Global. “SISA is yet another global leader who sees the competitive advantage of joining our world-class technology ecosystem and will deliver on its mission to empower local businesses to tackle cybersecurity challenges.”

Paul G Witt, VP – Sales, North America, said, “SISA, with its long-standing association with PCI Security Standards Council and as an active member of the PCI Gear Committee, is thrilled to further expand its role and presence in North America. With our unique forensics-driven approach to cybersecurity coupled with trusted intelligence, we are confident in driving value for small, medium, and large enterprises across industries. We look forward to partnering with enterprises in the public and private sector and enabling their business growth through forensics-driven cybersecurity.”
