The company’s foray into Singapore market is to serve the region’s public and private sector enterprises with its suite of preventive and detective security solutions.
Bangalore, India – 10 August, 2022: SISA, a leader in forensics-driven cybersecurity announced its expansion into the South-East Asia market by setting up its first office in Singapore. The company’s foray into this market is to serve the country’s public and private sector enterprises with its suite of preventive and detective security solutions.
Singapore has burgeoned into a digitally enabled nation state, a global fintech hub and a hotbed of innovation. At the same time, it has been a prominent target of well-orchestrated cyber-attacks. Nearly 65% of organizations in Singapore have experienced at least six cybersecurity incidents in the past year, but just 49% are able to respond to threats within a day, compared to the global average of 70%, according to a survey by CyberRisk Alliance.
Dharshan Shanthamurthy, Founder and CEO of SISA, noted the imminent challenges and the accompanying opportunities in the Singapore market and stated, “We are delighted to start our operations in Singapore – the world’s leading digital and innovation hub. As a CREST accredited company, we are best positioned to share our forensic knowledge with Singapore’s thriving and enterprising community. Further, as a leading global Payments Forensic Investigator (PFI), SISA is committed to serve clients through our connected security fabric encompassing compliance, testing services, incident response and certification programs. We look forward to creating a cyber-secure business ecosystem.”
To combat the rising threats, the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore has launched several measures, one of which pertains to the licensing framework for cybersecurity service providers, that was released in April 2022. As per the new framework, CSA will license two types of cybersecurity service providers, namely those providing penetration testing and managed security operations centre monitoring services. These two services are prioritized because service providers performing such services can have significant access into their clients’ computer systems and sensitive information.
Mukesh Khanwani, Sales Director, SISA Singapore said, “SISA’s CREST accreditation is a validation of SISA’s commitment to create a digitally secure society. The mandatory requirement for businesses in Singapore to have a SOC along with the government’s growing thrust on making forensics an important part of cybersecurity, offers us tremendous opportunity to partner with enterprises – public and private, and help them strengthen their cyber defences. Besides, through our long-standing association with ISACA Singapore Chapter, we look forward to expanding our reach and in the market.”
